St John's Centre

This friendly and informal group meets weekly throughout the year excepting holidays.
Come whatever your skill level, with your own materials and equipment.
Work as you wish with what you know - pencils, watercolour, pastels etc., or maybe try something new!

Tuesdays 10.00 - 11.30am

St John's Centre

We welcome parents, grandparents and childminders with babies and toddlers up to 4 years old. As well as doing child-friendly crafts, we also come together each week to celebrate birthdays, sing action songs and nursery rhymes and tell a Bible story. Coffee/Tea is served for the adults and squash for the children.

2nd and 4th Wednesday of Month  8pm

St John's Centre

It is open to all ladies across the parish, and people are welcome to come along as frequently or infrequently as they please. A calendar of activities is published annually, which typically includes a theatre visit, a quiz evening, a beetle drive, entertaining or informative talks, a ramble, a reflective or meditative evening, a barbecue, garden parties, etc. - There are hardly two evenings the same.

1st and 3rd Thursday in Month  10.15 - 12.00pm
St John's Centre
This group meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month for informal chat. Not all the members are regular churchgoers. There are sometimes short talks arranged, some outings, and opportunities to eat together. Requests for prayers are shared. Lifts are arranged on a regular basis for those who need them.

Sunday 10.00 - 11.15am

Church and St John's Centre

Junior Church meets Sunday week in term time, except the 1st Sunday of the month, during the 10am service at St. John's Church. There are 3 age-banded groups from 4 to 18 years old: infants, juniors and an older group known as Pathfinders aged 11-18. They meet in church for the first 10 minutes then they go to their groups.

Primary School Children (7 to 11 years old) are welcome to join us for games, activities and fun, on Fridays (school term) at 6.00pm at St John's Centre.

3rd Wednesday of Month  2.30 - 4.00PM

St John's Centre

Mothers’ Union meets monthly on a Wednesday afternoon with an interesting and varied programme. The members are very much involved with various volunteer organisations in and around Woodley and Reading, and occasionally join together with other local branches to raise money to support initiatives sponsored by the World Wide Mothers’ Union.

The flower group is small group of women that decorates St. Johns Church throughout the year, for weddings, festivals and other special occasions.
